About "Neither Law nor Morality - Hell on Earth"
The book Neither Law nor Morality consists of articles published in Radikal newspaper and selected with a new design and compiled by Turgut Tarhanlı under certain subject headings. In the selection of text, such as Turkey's main foreign policy issues is held in the eyes, as the examination of the definition of the concept of world order has shed light on developments at the forefront.
In this new design of the world order, which was tried to be determined by the establishment of the United Nations in 1945, the understanding of the system of states was of course not rejected. The principles that were intended to dominate the functioning of the system were also determined: the refusal of states to define the use of force within the concept of sovereignty; the choice of peaceful solutions based on the principles of justice and international law in the resolution of disputes; development of relations between nations based on the principle of equal rights and respect for self-determination; denial of any distinction regarding respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. The term Hell on Earth that gives the book its name is above all the result of the weakness in the formation of an international public order of the designed nature. This is the main theme of the writings in the first part of the book with the same title: In the final analysis, the analysis of different examples in the world where the distance between the individual and the administration is narrowed in a way to crush the individual. The United Nations was not an organization established solely to ensure international cooperation. It was the product of a project aimed at mobilizing the governmental system within this crucible of international organization.
